Synopsis :

Un roadmovie où, depuis le quartier de son enfance à Bruxelles en passant par la Turquie et jusqu’en Arménie, la réalisatrice d’origine turque questionne son héritage culturel. A travers les « AGIT », antique tradition orale et les contes, un espace de deuil s’ouvre et toutes les femmes, turques, kurdes, arméniennes se relient à une même terre d’origine.  

It’s the story of a woman of Turkish origin who embarks on a journey to better understand what makes up her identity. A road movie which brings her from her childhood neighborhood in Brussels to Turkey and Armenia. She discovers the “Agit”; an antique oral tradition where women sing for their dead. The songs open a potential space for mourning, where Turkish, Kurdish but also Armenian women missing from that land, can sing “together” for their dead.
